Pre-credits: We get a solo-view from Naonka about post-tribal council goings-on at the younger beach. She calls everyone fake and says that Kelly B, Jud, and Alina had their plan fall through and they’re in trouble.

Marty solo-views that Jimmy Johnson is a huge threat since everyone has stars in their eyes. Jill tells him to cheer up and suggests that he share the news about having found the hidden immunity idol.

Over on the younger beach, Jud wants to be kept around for more than being funny. Naonka finds him annoying. That doesn’t mean anything though since you get the feeling that Naonka would find puppies, cheese, and Tom Hanks annoying, too.

Back with the oldersters. Marty announces to the tribe that he’s found the immunity idol. Everyone is excited. Jill solo-views that Marty’s stock has shot up and she’s pleased about that. She’s doing a good job of building her relationship with Marty.

Tyrone thinks Marty is shady while Jimmy T thinks he’s strengthened the tribe. Yve is worried about Dan’s fitness since Dan is moving around slowly. It’s nice that we finally hear from her, it’s only been three episodes.

Immunity Challenge! Reward Challenge! Immunity! Back up for grabs!

Tribe members must retrieve wooden barrels. Once ten barrels have been retrieved, they have to be arranged in a triangle. Then, sandbags have to be tossed so that they land on top of the barrels.

The reward is sauces, fruits, spices, and a herb garden.

The younger tribe declines to use the Medallion of Power, which would’ve meant they would’ve had to only deal with eight instead of 10 barrels.

Through rolling and setting up the barrels, the tribes are even. Tyrone gets on a hot streak tossing sandbags. He is just money and hits five in a row. The young tribe ties it up at 6. They pull ahead 8 to 6. Jeff can’t help but mention that if the younger tribe had used the MOP, they would’be won already. Benry is on target for the younger tribe. Meanwhile, as Tyrone cools off, Jimmy T complains to Jimmy J that he’s being wasted on the bench. Tyrone hits again and Jimmy J pulls him out and puts Jimmy T in, who, to his credit, hits right away. But Benry keeps hitting and the younger tribe wins.

Kelly B spots a clue to the hidden immunity idol in the fruit, but Naonka spots it, too. When they get back to camp, Naonka dives into the fruit and pushes Kelly B away to get the clue. The tribe isn’t cool with Naonka smushing the fruit.

Naonka solo-views that she pushed Kelly B away to get the clue. She says that if something like that happens again, she’d do the same and she’d love to push Kelly B hard enough that her leg falls right off. Wow. She’s repulsive beyond belief.

So, Naonka reads the clue. “It’s gonna take me forever to figure this out!” That’s because you’re dumb. So very dumb.

She shares the clue with Brenda. The two of them together can’t figure out the clue, either.

At the older beach, Jimmy T addressed the tribe, saying he has talent that’s being wasted. He solo-views that it’s obvious he’s being kept down because everyone knows he’s a leader and a threat.

The two Jimmys talk in the water about who to vote out. They consider Dan. Jimmy T solo-views that Jimmy J has to go.

Jill says that Jimmy J, Dan, and Holly are all equally weak players and she doesn’t care who they vote out as long as it’s one of them. She tells Marty to pick one of them and let her know who it is. Marty insists that Jimmy J is a bigger strategic threat. Jill doesn’t see it but is fine voting him out.

Jane and Holly talk and Holly thinks she’s at risk. Jane assures her that Dan is the one people are targeting.

Tyrone sees Marty as paranoid. He wants to vote for Dan, who he thinks is clearly breaking down.

Tribal Council

Jimmy J deflects any talk that he’s the tribe’s leader.

After a little back and forth with Jeff, Jimmy T says he hasn’t had a chance to talk with Jimmy J. Jeff is baffled that through eight days, he hasn’t found a chance to talk to him.

There’s some talk about Dan having a bad knee. Dan says he’s not the bottom of the ladder — he’s average.

Jimmy T says he wants to vote out one of the weaker players. He won’t name names but there are three or four players who are weaker. Jeff asks the entire tribe, one by one, if they are a weak player. Each in turn says they are not a weak player up until he asks Jimmy J, who actually says that he’s the oldest player and one of the weaker players.

Voting!

Jimmy Johnson, Dan, Jimmy J, Jimmy J, Jimmy J, Jimmy J, and he’s voted out.

As much as I was not enthused about having him on the show, he was actually a positive on the show. He was a nice guy who worked with his tribemates and always seemed to be pleasant.

Bubbling Under

It’s not really bubbling under but Naonka versus Kelly B is looming. It’s not going to be pretty. In the older tribe, Marty versus everyone else is simmering. Marty wanted to shake the tribe up a bit.

What do you expect to happen in the coming weeks?
