The Scooby team is back, thank God, and everyone is coming back early thanks to Miss Julian. Cam’s career is in jeopardy so she calls everyone and they drop everything to come help her out…because that is what this awesome team does! I love this group of characters because of how close they have all become and how much they will do for each other. Let’s get started shall we?

If you have read my reviews before, you know that I don’t really focus on the case itself, but more on the characters. I am going to get you caught up on what is happening with each set of characters, ok?

Booth & Bones: After each of them gets the call to come back, they meet at the Reflecting Pool like they promised to at the end of last season. Booth asks if she has met anyone and she tells him “no”. He then proceeds to tell her that he has met someone and shows a picture of her. He is “serious as a heart attack” with her and you can clearly see the disappointment in Temp’s face.
Temp asks if it was dangerous and he downplays it like he sat at a desk all the time or something. But in reality, Booth was seeing some major action and at one point had to save a child from being taken from his mother. I think he had a major wakeup call when the mother told him “This would have never happened if his father was here instead of fighting someone else’s war.” Something he was doing himself.

Daisy & Sweets: OK, so first I have to say it was quite funny in the beginning when Daisy swallows her engagement ring when a bunch of guerillas come up to them and she strips down to her skivvies while Bones fights all of them and beats the crap out of them. Daisy takes credit for “distracting them.”
When Daisy comes home and gives Sir Lancelot the ring back (yuk) he tells her he is mad that she picked her career over him. Now I must say, before I go any further, this new look on Sweets is kind of nice and different. I think he is trying to steal the Neal Caffrey look with the fedora, though. Daisy wants to get back together , but Lance doesn’t. Funny, I thought it was going to be the opposite when the show came back.
When Sweets asks Booth for his opinion, Booth recommends that he move on and be happy. Yeah, ok…really?…you’re happy without Bones? Ok!

Hodgins & Angela: They are back from Paris! God, I love these two! Angela tells Bones that she has missed her monthly visitor, which causes a tender moment between these friends, but she hasn’t told Jack yet, so she isn’t allowed to say anything. When Angela finally does tell Jack that she is pregnant he is truly happy! TJ did a wonderful job looking at Angela and acting as though he is the happiest man in the world and truly in love with this woman. Every woman deserves to be looked at in this way! We also learn they will stay in the US to raise the baby. They are not telling anyone until the first trimester is over. She will stay because she Loves Hodgins that much to stay here. He loves her so much and that is why they stayed in Paris…for her. **let me get some tissues**

Cam: Couldn’t solve a case of remains of a child and the press wanted answers to a high profile missing child case. She needed her Scooby team to save the day. She also learns how much they love her, for them to drop everything and help her.

Interns: Daisy- needs time off
Nigel- won a million dollars and took a trip around the world.
Fisher- checked into a clinic
Edison- took a job in Chicago
Vaziri- switched majors
Wendell- lost his internship program when the new anthropologist was based in N.Y. So now he was working in a repair shop. Bones needed an asst. and knew he was very good, so she tracked him down and asked if he would come back. But, when he learned it was only for the one case, he said no…until Bones offered any amount of money (she doesn’t need that much, you know) he agrees to come back. We never know how much she offered him. Will he be back or are going to get a whole new slew of assistants again?

After the case is solved, the entire team is back at the Jeffersonian.

What did you think of the opening of season 6? Do you like where the storylines are heading since the return? Give me your thoughts in the comments.

So great to have the team together again – laughs with Daisy’s Monday undies, tears with Jack and Angela and how happy they are. TJ was perfect!
I think that Bones has been trying to get in touch with her emotions – no reluctance in the hug at the reflecting pool, wanting to hug Ms. Julian at the bar (so funny!) and wanting to strike the dad who kidnapped his kid.
If you’ve been following @harthanson you know that most of the Squinterns have moved on to movie roles, as much as he’s proud of them, it left the lab a little lacking. I like how they put all that into the storytelling.

Didn’t know about the Squinterns moving on . Do you know if Wendell will be sticking around or if new ones all season will be showing up?

I’m so glad that Sweets shaved! I didn’t like him with the facial hair. Too gruff. I love John Francis Daley. 🙂

Loved the actual Mastedon in the room at the end.
