The theme on this season of The Biggest Loser is “Pay It Forward”. So the show is traveling to seven different US cities to choose contestants and motivate the communities. They choose seven cities that have the highest rates of obesity. Two out of three Americans are now obese. It’s a scary statistic, don’t you think?
In each city, three potential contestants are chosen. Only two of them will make it to the Biggest Loser Ranch.
The contestants will all weigh in and then participate in a challenge. Either a mile run or the first to 500 step-up challenge. The first two to finish each challenge goes straight to the ranch. The third person goes home. But it’s not the last we will see them. More on that next week! Just one more note. All challenges were medically supervised. Now on to the details!

The episode was as inspiring as ever. This show has inspired and motivated me to lose 180 lbs since January of 2009. I’ve still got another 150 to go, but this IS possible to do on your own. The competition will heat up next week when Bob & Jillian choose two of the contestants who didn’t make it to bring into the game. Please leave your comments below or send me an email. Ask yourself this. What have you done today to make you feel proud?

I reallly want to like TBL and watch it and support it. But if you read about behind the scenes and what they go through, TBL is unhealthy and unrealistic to keep as a lifestyle after the show. The plus side is they learn (hopefully) a few healthy recipes and tips but a majority of them go back to the real world and don’t keep their weight off.
Apparently I’m related to one of the contestants this season, by marriage, very distantly. I may watch to see them, but I stopped enjoying this show years ago.
