OK, so first things first…I want to give a shout out to Gabe Grey who plays Stu on the show. Gabe is the guy you saw in the beginning of the show.( First person you see). He is also at the very end as the limo driver that is meeting Annie and takes her case. He is a cute young man and doing a wonderful job trying to make it in “the biz” ..Good job! He took the time out and we talked on Twitter before the show.Show him some love here.
So anyway…Annie is at the Zurich airport and she is to make a ‘brush pass’ with her contact. Simple, right? But things go wrong. She sees 2 contacts and one (blonde guy) tries to take her case as he sets his down. Commotion ensues and briefcase explodes. She hightails it outta there and talks to Auggie. The second contact disappears. Auggie is confused when she mentions 2 contacts.
Arthur and Joan are having a bit of a romantic moment when the news comes on and we learn the reporter received some more ‘insider’ information. Art wants to know who the leak is. Then they get a call that the ‘pass’ went wrong and Annie needs help.
Annie decides to drop the package and hide it.
Arthur hands control of the operation to someone else and leaves Joan hanging out to dry. He just pissed her off royally.
Annie goes undercover and is given a safe house to stay in. When she enters, she is greeted by the second contact, Eyal…you know…the crazy guy from “the Mummy”(Oded Fehr). She has no idea whether to trust him or not. He won’t hand over his case till he has hers. She calls Auggie while Mummy dude is in the shower and he gives her some background info on him. Mummy grabs her phone and busts it up. I wonder if she had extended warranty on it.
Back at HQ, Auggie is pulled to take a polygraph test, even though he argues that getting Annie is more important. During this test we learn that Auggie has 4 mean ass brothers, he misses being in the field, and he feels he could do a better job than the yahoo’s that run the place…I know how ya feel Auggie! Then they ask if he is the source leaking to the press, he says no. But we have no idea if he is lying since he can beat the polygraph.
Annie and Mummy-dude get the heck out of Dodge when they see a van pull up with some cronies to do some harm. After they escape, Annie finds the lady that helped her, dead. Mummy is there too, but convinces her to trust him. He explains someone compromised the mission and they don’t know which side. They go to get the case Annie hid, and find out a wedding is going on. Eventually they get it and escape in a car. Then they get hit by an SUV. Let me just say that it was very cool the way they shot that scene…you can see the SUV coming and hitting the car from a very cool angle.
They bust out some windows, shoot up the bad guys and then the cops arrive and tell them they have a plane to catch. Mission over!
Art makes good with Joan when he finds out the Israelis were the ones that compromised the mission.
Annie and Mummy finally exchange the cases and he invites her to Riviera…but it will have to wait.
Annie comes back home. Joan and Art…well…I don’t know what of make of them…you?
So what did you think of this week’s episode? I think I am warming up to Joan a bit, but it will take a while. I just don’t get the relationship between the two. Auggie…what can I say…I love Auggie! We need more of him, right? By the way you can follow Chris Gorham on twitter, here. Leave me your thoughts in the comments.
By the way, anyone notice the titles are all songs by Led Zeppelin?

He did a great job with those lie detector scenes. Almost reminded me of the Henry Dunn character with his cool sarcasm. There is rage there. It’s going to be very interesting as they continue to flush out these characters!
I didn’t notice, you did, I remember when you told Chris 🙂
Ahhh, I loved the episode, even though I think they should start use the other characters more, because if not, soon Piper Perabo will be dead. They wear the poor girl out. Too much work! LOL
Art and Joan…hmm, they are a weird couple yes.I think it’s like that because they constantly have to separate their persoal life as a couple from the life at work, as colleagues and their ranks in the CIA, and that’s so hard to do when you have “normal” jobs, but it’s daunting when you do what they do.
And Auggie…loved the lie detector scenes. Gived the impression that he could do whatever he wanted to with that machine, he can beat it, cheat it, use it?! It’s great to watch Chris acting. He managed to convince me that Auggie can do just about everything if he wants to, and being blind is not an issue at all! More, he uses that as an advantage! Wow! Gotta love that!
Ahem…another long one LOL :p
I had one complaint about last night’s show, the scene where the car hits them as they’re casually chatting about a trip, right in the driver’s side door, it’s right out of Alias, although on Alias, Vaughn “died.”
ok, so someone mentioned that they think Auggie might have slept with this Liza reporter and it will come back to haunt him about this scandle of a leak. I don’t see Auggie as leaking any info..he is just too cool and wouldn’t do that. They think his reaction to lie detector question was a worry on his part. I took it as he was pissed he was pulled off the call with Annie for a friggin leak to the press. Your thoughts?
I think so too. He’s way too pro to let that happen, he wouldn’t do it! He was pissed because his contact with Annie was cut short and he couldn’t help her.
I agree! In the pilot, they fleshed out a lot of characters/relationships, but it seems to be gradually turning into more of a “case-of-the-week” show. I hope they bring more of the relationship dynamics back in, esp. Auggie! But, I’m really betting he gets field work within the next few episodes, which will be nice.
Oh you know he will…Gorham already told us he has his big episode with # 7.He also will see some fight action.
Slowly but surely, the series seems to be finding its feet. I really liked this week’s addition of Oded Fehr — whom I remember from those “Resident Evil” movies. I think Eyal would make a terrific mentor for Annie. And let’s face it, the shady rogue would be the perfect third leg of a triangle with Annie and Auggie! I wrote a little about the episode myself at http://wp.me/pFs3T-K6
I thought the same thing…that Eyal would make a good reoccuring character for Annie. I hope we see him again on a mission, but not as a romantic lead. Thanks for visiting and commenting.
I noticed the titles, all the same titles of led zepplen songs. What is that? I’m not complaining I like them both the show and the group i think it’s rather cool
