Covert Affairs Comes To USA Network

I just have to say that I am pretty excited about this new show, called Covert Affairs, on the USA Network, and I’m here to tell you a little bit about it. Hopefully you will be as excited as I am.

It stars Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly) as Annie Walker, a CIA trainee who is promoted to field operative a bit earlier than expected. We soon find out that it could be something from her past, possibly an ex-boyfriend, that the CIA bosses are really after. Annie has help from Auggie Anderson, played by Christopher Gorham (Ugly Betty, Harper’s Island, Jake 2.0) who is a CIA tech ops expert, that was blinded on assignment. From what I have seen from the promo clips, they seem to have a great rapport. Next, we have Peter Gallagher as Arthur Campbell, the director of Clandestine Services for the CIA.

Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes) is Jai Wilcox, an agent with family history in the walls of the CIA. We also have Anne Dudek ( House) as Annies sister Danielle, who has no idea what Annie does. Maybe she needs to talk to “Chuck’s” sister.

The show premiers on Tuesday, July 13 at 10:00pm ET on the USA Network, following White Collar.

If I still haven’t convinced you, I guess I will have to drop another name then. The show is executive produced by Doug Liman (Bourne Trilogy, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, O.C.). Now will you watch? I hope so! I will be recapping each week, so I hope you will be back and we can talk about the episode.
