Jimmy Fallon to Host Prime Time Emmy Awards

No one better tell Jay. The Late Show’s Jimmy Fallon has been named the host of the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards, reports TVGuide.

“Hosting the Emmys has been a dream of mine ever since they told me I was doing it,” the SNL vet quipped.

NBC’s executive vice president of alternative programming called Fallon a natural choice, stating “His proven skills as a comedian and host — as well as his openness to new ideas — will fully engage audiences and ultimately deliver a lively Emmy telecast.”.

The ceremony will air Sunday, Aug. 29 at 8 p.m./ET on NBC, with nominations announced July 8.

My Two Cents: I think he’ll be great, especially if he does his Kate Gosselin impression again. Or any parody for that matter.

What do you think? Will Fallon make a good host?
