Lockdown! Chloe gets trapped inside Watchtower with Tess! Clark finds out the Kandorians now have powers, and Oliver’s life is put into jeopardy! It’s time to jump into action.

With only a few episodes left who will survive the big war that’s coming? Who is Checkmate and what do they want? Will Zod fulfill his master plan?

This week’s episode opens with Chloe walks the streets of Metropolis alone, she buys herself a cup of coffee and heads into Watchtower. As she gets into the elevator we see how strict her security system is, it scans her, asks for voice recognition, a finger print, and a password. But how does Tess get in? She holds Chloe up at gunpoint after accessing Kandorian files. She reveals she knew Chloe was Watchtower based on Oliver’s feelings for her. Then it’s time for a girl fight! The two struggle and the gun goes off! Don’t worry, nobody gets shot, this isn’t the season finale. They do however create a security breach. The windows and doors all lock. Chloe and Tess are trapped, Watchtower is now in control!

Oliver and Clark meet up at Luther Corp, they want to find Zod and don’t want to involve Chloe. Clark wants to confront Zod in his own way without Oliver getting in the way. Clark sends Oliver to the manor to look for more clues. He’s not realizing that the Kandorians are not the only family that he has, as Oliver reminds him.

Meanwhile, our trapped girls are trying to escape. Tess is shooting things up again, she’s a tad trigger happy. They can’t even call out! What good is a security system if it can’t be controlled? Chloe soon realizes that someone hacked into the computers trying to find the location of Watchtower. That’s why lockdown took place, but who would do this, since it wasn’t Tess? Checkmate wants Watchtower! We see Agents are on the road trying to track the location, and have narrowed it down to a 20-block radius. The Agents tell Amanda Waller that they will find Watchtower and Tess. Chloe rushes to find a way to save them since Checkmate is using a tracking device. Guess where it is? In Tess’ body! She has to cut it out, but when they try to remove it, it burns her. Tess says that it’s a Checkmate parasite device, it will burrow itself into the host if tampered with since it’s powered by the host’s body! That’s what you get Tess! What goes around comes around!

Clark goes to see the peaceful Kandorians who include Vala and Faora; they are conducting some kind of ceremony. They tell Clark that Zod took the other soldiers and has left, and they are waiting for Zod to return so they themselves can ally with Zod once again since he now has his powers back. Green Arrow meanwhile is breaking into the manor, followed by Zod! He wants Green Arrow to join forces with him since Checkmate wants both of them! Of course Green Arrow refuses and shoots an arrow at Zod. They fight and Zod pins Green Arrow to the wall, but then collapses when he sees he’s been shot with a dart of Kryptonite!

Tess and Chloe in the meantime are slowly suffocating! Is this the time when you say sorry for all the bad things you’ve done in your life? Tess wants to save the world, and Chloe has trust issues. They talk about their man Oliver, Tess tells her that he will stay with Chloe and won’t abandon her. Soon though Checkmate is breaking through the firewalls, and Chloe realizes they can use the coolant system to make the walls fragile enough to break through. She is afraid that it will destroy Watchtower’s databases, but Tess doesn’t care. So they break through and escape, but are chased by the Checkmate agents! Clark meanwhile goes to the Kent farm with Faora. While Clark shows her that Zod is the one who destroyed Krypton, she reveals that she was used as a way for Zod to protect his people…she’s pregnant with Zod’s child! Baby momma drama! Oliver is not having such a good time, his ribs are broken and he pleads with Zod that he won’t kill him because of the promise he made to Clark.

Faora explains to Clark that Zod has been searching for the Book of Rao! With it he will have absolute power by accessing the energies within. Zod with more powers is not what the world needs! Oliver calls Clark to tell him where the injured Zod is and that everything is fine, until Zod pulls the dart out! Clark superspeeds to get to Oliver and finds him knocked out with a Z carved into his chest! Guess he’s trying to be like Zorro now.

While Chloe and Tess are on the run and determined to get the tracker out of Tess, Amanda Waller contacts her team after decrypting the database at Watchtower; they know where the aliens are! They rush in and Checkmate takes Faora with them and Amanda tells her agents to kill the rest! Clark brings Ollie to the hospital and he tells Clark that Checkmate wants the Kandorians and he must save them!

Before the bloodbath can begin, Clark rushes in and stops them! Vala reveals that Amanda Waller has taken Faora. Chloe meanwhile breaks into the hospital storage room and prepares to stop Tess’ heart in order to get the device out! Tess says she trusts Chloe. Let’s see how well this goes! It’s a success and the agents burst in to find they have escaped without the tracker. While Amanda tries to get Faora to help her, Zod arrives and smashes Waller into the windshield of her car, he intends to kill her and Clark stops him. The two struggle since Zod wants Checkmate to pay for their actions. He and Faora then run off to Zod’s secret base. He insists that she betrayed him and so he breaks her neck, only to then realize she is pregnant with his baby. He is devastated and listens as it dies with its mother…

At Checkmate headquarters, Zod breaks in, he’s on a rampage! Anger management maybe? He incinerates Amanda Waller and her agents with heat vision, extra crispy. Zod mourns and brings Faora’s body to the Fortress and meets his loyal soldiers. He lies to them and says that humans killed her, that way he is sure to have their allegiance now. Clark tries to convince the soldiers that humans had nothing to do with it. But they all side with Zod and fly away…a war is coming!

This has got to be in my opinion one of the best episodes so far, it’s getting towards the end of the season where we can expect one heck of a season finale! Clark has his hands full with so many adversaries while trying to protect those he loves. With Amanda Waller burnt to a crisp, will the Red Queen finally come out of hiding? Who could it be? What will Zod plan next? Will he destroy Earth as he did Krypton? What did you think of the episode?
