Glee’s Lea Michele Makes Time’s Top 100 List

This just further proves that Glee’s Rachel Berry is in fact a star.

Her portrayer, Lea Michele, has been named one of the top 100 most influential people of the year, according to the Associated Press. Michele joins such honoree’s as diverse as Brazil’s president and Lady Gaga.

My Two Cents: It’s only fitting that the Golden Globe nominated triple-threat receives this honor. I just wish all of them had made it. But then again, I’m a little biased, since I’m totally in love with everything Glee. What can I say, I’m a Gleek!

Are you as happy as I am, or do you feel another cast member deserved this honor?

I love Glee but think it’s absurd for Lea – and most of the other celebrities who made the list – to be on it. It’s their inclusion which makes this list an entertainment section story, and not an actual news story. If anything, Ryan Murphy, the creator and producer of Glee, is the one who should be named among the most influential, not the, albeit extremely talented, actress who is – when all is said and done – acting out his ideas and words, not putting forth her own.

I completely agree. Ryan (or Ian or Brad .. or the three of them together) should be on the list. Lea isn’t doing anything influential. It really bothers me when people like that are on the list after doing didly squat.
