David McCallum to Return to NCIS

ducky's back

Despite reports to the contrary, David McCallum, who plays medical examiner Ducky, will be among the returning stars for the new season of NCIS, reports TVGuide Magazine.

McCallum joins stars Mark Harmon and Rocky Carroll who have already signed on for additional seasons.

Previous stories from sources such as Deadline.com stated McCallum was currently in negotiations, along with cast mates Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette, and Sean Murray.

My Two-Cents: I think this is great news.

NCIS works because it nicely balances heavy subjects with extreme doses of humor, many of which are brought on by McCallum. The exam room would not be the same without him.

What do you think? Are you glad to have Ducky back for another season?
