Welcome to the week of love,Two Cents readers! And I apologize for the delay on the recap. Apparently my internet provider does not believe in love or chocolate hearts, but red and pink will persevere! For we have a Cupid and alcohol filled recap to get through before a break due to the Olympics.

It’s Valentine’s week!! Guess which character realllly hates this manufactured holiday? Jeff gets a crazy voice mail from a drunk sounding chick. Britta comes into study group very late and looks completely hung over. So you can ALSO guess who drunk dialed Jeff! When she leaves in shame, Abed analyzes that this is terrible and now Jeff has a problem. So, Jeff finds Britta in the cafeteria and tries to tell her it’s no big deal but now she’s totally acting weird around him.

Abed tries to explain that it’s like Jeff saw Britta naked, so now he has to do drunk dial her, too. He explains all of this while making a movie about Senor Chang. The kid actor by the way? Abed refers to him as “A young the Asian Guy from LOST.” Over in Abed’s dorm room he tries to coach Jeff to the perfect drunk dial as they analyze Britta, but it’s weird for Jeff to be the only one drinking, so Abed ponies up even though he’s never had a drink in his life EVER. The following drinking montage is so hilarious and amazing that you must download this episode right now.

The next morning, er, afternoon, Jeff is wearing a Phantom of the Opera mask, and Abed is in a dresser so hung over that he can’t remember the names of the actors in The Breakfast Club. However, it could be mission accomplished as Jeff did place an outgoing call to Britta…but he also made one to his hot statistics professor girlfriend Michelle. RUH ROH.

At the Valentine Dance, Jeff finds out from Michelle that he definitely mistakenly called her and left a message for Britta. When he tries to explain, she brushes him off to go…chaperon something. Britta shows up in a beautiful dress with her hair and makeup done telling Jeff that his drunk dial was to invite her to the dance. Jeff freaks out, but it turns out she’s punking him. Michelle gets jealous to see Britta there, but Britta whips out her phone and plays the message Jeff left that proclaims Michelle is perfect for him and he doesn’t want to screw it up. He just wants Britta to be as happy as he is. The day is SAVED, but that was only 40 seconds of a 40 minute message according to Britta as she secretly whispers in Jeff’s ear. He gives her a lingering look as he walks away with Michelle.

In Spanish, Troy and Pierce get Valentines and Senor Chang’s bullcrap meter goes CRAZY!! Because the two guys definitely sent Valentine gifts to themselves. Annie and Shirley decide to go after Chang for always tearing people down. Time to humiliate him back for sure! So the next day, Cupid delivers a Valentine to Senor Chang, but it’s a letter from Princeton saying they want him to be the Associate Professor of Spanish Senor Chang doesn’t buy it and blames Pierce and Troy. Their punishment is to escort him to the Faculty Valentine’s dance wearing women’s pant suits.

They show up, ready to take off their trench coats to show the suits when Annie and Shirley confess. They want to accept the punishment for the boys when Troy decides this means they obviously do have girls who care for them, so now they must protect them. After the dance, Pierce ditches Troy to get frozen yogurt with Senor Chang, with Troy yelling after them. “SLUUUUUUT!”
