Previously on 90210, Jackie Taylor died, Teddy and Silver got close, Jen bought a race horse, Liam and team devised a plan to bring down Jen, Adrianna was back on drugs, Harry and Debbie forbade Annie to see Jasper, and Navid confronted Jasper’s drug-dealing ickiness so Jasper pushed him down the stairs.

At the hospital, Navid can’t remember what happened to him. The first thing he asks for is Adrianna. The last thing he remembers is leaving The Blaze and walking down the hall. Adrianna’s phone rings and she has texts and phone calls and she finally listens to them. Message one is Jackie being taken to the hospital, message two is Jackie died, message three is Navid had an accident. All of them are from Naomi who says she’s not sure why she’s even trying anymore. All of these messages effect Adrianna and she takes all of her remaining pills and throws them in the garbage. For now. At the hospital, Naomi winds up riding down the elevator with Liam and Ivy. Ivy still creeps me out a bit and I want to know what her deal is. Adrianna shows up in Navid’s room and she tells him he was right and hearing about his accident was a wake-up call and apologized for the things she said when she was high. Navid’s not too happy about it and asks her to leave. Jen visits Ryan at school and is being all seductive. I really don’t like her. She has a horse that’s racing over the weekend and invites him along. Ivy walks in on them kissing and runs to tell Liam so they can take her down over the weekend.

Silver and Naomi are talking about the shiva house and the funeral and the relatives Silver didn’t know. Silver talks about the word “loss” and man, I remember when little Erin Silver was born. Longtime fans (aka us old folks) enjoy the throwbacks but this all so weird and Jackie is gone now. Adrianna didn’t show up to the funeral and neither did Teddy (but Teddy sent flowers). Naomi said Teddy was all dressed and ready to go, so that’s weird. Jasper and Annie are talking about the Navid thing and Jasper just wants to know what Navid said and then leaves. Silver finds Teddy on the roof hitting tennis balls. Teddy can’t do funerals, which is understandable. He didn’t even go to his own mother’s. I so love the Silver/Teddy pairing. She brings out depth in him that no other character does. With her, he’s not just some surfer or some rich kid. He’s this deep, compassionate guy with real feelings and real issues. Let’s not forget, HOT. I do have an issue with the fact that in real life he’s in his 30s and Jessica Stroup is something like 13 years younger than him That’s what bugs me about shows like this (most dramas do this). Ryan Eggold (Ryan) is 26 yet Trevor Donovan, playing his student, is 31. Any way … back on the roof, Teddy and Silver kiss.

They talk about being vulnerable and that’s why they kissed. Silver makes a joke that since they kissed he’s her boyfriend. It was really cute to see Teddy get all freaked out. Adrianna is back at school and Jasper wants to know if she wants some more drugs and she says she’s clean. Jasper asks how Navid is and if he fell down the stairs. What a weird question to ask, right? He quickly disappears into thin air only to find Annie and apologize to her for being rude earlier and they profess their love and who is there but Harry. He is the school principal after all. Ivy and Liam are playing pool, at school. I assume it’s in The Blaze room? Ivy asks Liam if he’s bringing down Jen to get back with Naomi. Liam says no and you can tell Ivy is all jealous. They kiss and Teddy walks in. Their little secret is out! Liam says to keep it a quiet, they’re not a couple couple and Ivy tells Teddy not to tweet about it. Funny stuff. But you can see Ivy’s hardcore outside is just a cover and that she’s really just a girly girl and wants her boy. Silver and Naomi are going through Jackie’s clothes and I’m pretty sure I remember some of these outfits from the original (and great) series. I normally hate AnnaLynne McCord, but she was pretty great in these scenes. While they’re joking around, Adrianna comes in and wants to be her friend. Naomi tells Adrianna to leave them alone because she isn’t reliable. She runs home and flushes all the drugs she has down the toilet. Yay! Dixon is still being a jerk to Annie, despite knowing the truth about her not being Liam’s fling. Annie says she has a chemistry study group and Dixon has plans with his friends for the weekend. Anyone believe Annie? I don’t. When Debbie drops her off, Jasper pulls up right behind her and they drive off. Ugh, I really wish Annie would open her eyes.

At the race track (the horse kind, not the cool car kind…), Naomi and Jen go to meet their horse. Naomi is super not impressed and Jen sounds like an idiot talking to the horse. Well, she is an idiot so it’s fitting. Their jockey is this super little creepy guy. Silver and Naomi are in their private box eating shrimp and lobster when a butler-type guy brings Naomi a present from a “secret admirer.” It’s a super expensive scarf. While Debbie is cleaning, she finds Annie’s chemistry book. Back at the track, Teddy’s box is right next to Naomi’s. Dixon, Liam and Ivy are all in Teddy’s box and Ivy is dissing on Naomi. Teddy flirts with the server and everyone mentions how he’s a player, all the while he’s lovingly looking at Silver. Butler guy brings Naomi’s next gift, a tiny Tiffany’s box. At the beach, Jasper and Annie are making out in his car and Jasper is spewing cheeseball lines at her. Seriously when will this kid go away? The “bring down Jen” crew is talking about Liam meeting with a tech guy to retrieve the recording of Jen he erased – and Jen overhears.

Jen tells Ryan the horse was a gift, while we all know differently. Their horse wins the race and they are all kinds of excited. Silver runs into Dixon in the lobby of the track. Dixon apologizes for her loss and she thanks him for coming to the funeral. They finally have their post-breakup heart-to-heart, Dixon forgives her and Silver tells him she misses their friendship. They hug and Teddy sees, looking all sad. Navid is irritated in his hospital room and Adrianna shows up, fresh from a meeting. She came to some realizations about who she’s been while she was sober and that being sober is more than not taking pills. At the track, Liam puts down his phone to cheer for a horse and Jen picks it up. At the same time, Naomi gets another present and is lead into a room to meet her secret admirer. I feel a setup coming real quick! Jen starts talking about how naive Naomi is when the butler guy sends a text message to Dixon who opens an umbrella just when Jen breaks Liam’s phone. Liam brings the night of the sex up and Jen spills everything in front of the room where Naomi is. She hears everything and says she never wants to see Jen again. Team “bring down Jen” applauds each other. Liam watches on as Naomi cries alone in the room.

Jen goes to find Ryan but Dixon has gotten to him first. She tries to cover it up but can’t and tells him the truth. She says Ryan has changed her but at the same time she’s giving the speech, the guy she bought the horse from comes up to congratulate her. Ryan puts it all together and leaves her. Did Jen really think she could have her cake and eat it too? Jeez. Naomi is upset over everything and realizes she hasn’t talked to Liam yet and goes to find him. At the same time, Ivy finds Liam and they are basking in their glory. Liam is bummed about Naomi being sad. He thanks Ivy for her help as Naomi walks down the stairs. Ivy sees Naomi and kisses Liam to make her jealous. Annie is listening to music when Debbie and Harry confront her with the chemistry book. Dixon walks in and says it is his. Annie goes to thank him for covering for her. It was his way of apologizing for the whole Liam/Jen/Annie thing. The Naomi/Jen thing makes them look at their own relationship and they make up. Wahoo! No more fighting or taking adoption jabs. Naomi is staying at Silver’s and when Silver goes to get comfort food, Naomi makes a call to Annie to apologize to her. Wow! Naomi is really growing this season. When Ivy and Liam are visiting Navid, Ivy picks up a pair of sneakers and Navid flashes back to his accident and remembers being pushed down the stairs – and by who.

Next week is the Winter Wonderland dance. Oh man, West Beverly dances never go well!!
