The Top 8 Things I Learned from The Amazing Race 15:

8. Meghan & Cheyne [Dating] Dear Fast Forward: You are the only one this season… please be an extra awesome one! Race around a track in a car? That’s not exactly shave-you-head extra awesome, but whatever. Meghan and Cheyne claimed the only FF, landed first at the Pit Stop, and won a trip to Jamaica. Cool, mon.

7. Ericka & Brian [Married] On the 120th floor of the tallest building in the world (seriously, how are they building that thing!?!), Brain had a great idea. Act really scared at the bottom so the other teams think that the task is super-duper freaky. It worked (see Mika & Canaan below). But he’s not all diabolical… leave that to his wife. She said that some people have a misconception of what pageant queens are like (she is a former Miss America)… they aren’t all nicely-nicely. Apparently, they are witchy sometimes. Huh. I didn’t have that misconception. You? They came in 2nd.

6. Flight Time & Big Easy [Harlem Globetrotters] During the Road Block where one team member had to find water in the desert outside of Dubai to feed some camels, Big Easy made an interesting observation: He’s from New Orleans and is usually running from water and not towards it. My horses did a steady job and got to Phil 3rd.

5. Gary & Matt [Father/Son] My other horses didn’t have a great time at “Ski Dubai,” a gigantic indoor ski resort in the middle of the desert. The Detour gave the choices of Build a Snowman or Find a Snowman. They chose “Find.” Are they crazy? Have they ever watched this show? You NEVER pick a task that has anything to do with finding small objects! After quite some time, they jumped over to the “Build” option and got to the mat in 4th.

4. Dan & Sam [Brothers] Back in Cambodia, the teams were given their first clue: Fly to the Persian Gulf and find the world’s tallest building. So you figure out where the world’s tallest building is and fly to that country, right? Nope. You go to the airport and try to buy two tickets to “The Persian Gulf.” Wow. At least they’re pretty. They came in 5th.

3. Maria & Tiffany [Professional Poker Players] Merry Christmas, Poker Ladies! You’re only here because my boys lost a passport last week (grumble, grumble). Anyway… what is the worst thing you can do to your car in the desert? Drive over a metal fence that rips a huge gash in your radiator. Nice. Still, they didn’t get eliminated. That was saved for the team that is even more dysfunctional than M & T.

2. Mika & Canaan [Newly Dating] World’s tallest building you say? Scared of heights you say? This should be fun. Well… it’s not. They only had to get a clue from a huge, safe balcony, not repel or bungee or base jump or zip line or any of the other fun Amazing Race-normal stuff. Seriously, producers, where is the mortal peril? They came in 7th.

1. Lance & Keri [Engaged] Thank goodness this was NOT a non-elimination leg. I don’t think I could have taken this couple one more hour! After their usual mis-reading of clues and maps and arrows in a parking garage (and some general all-around Ugly American-ness), they were eliminated. Now, if we can only talk Keri into not marrying Lance, I’d feel better. Don’t forget to check out their arrival at the CBS Elimination Station.

So glad Meathead is gone. That’s all. 🙂

  2. farrah says:

I loathe him! They don’t work well together at all and I really wonder how they are in real life. And his answer about getting married? “There are a lot of non-refundable deposits so we are getting married after this thing no matter what.” WOW. I wanted to throw my TV. You think it’s an act?
