Sarah’s back from France and we are going to finally see what she was doing all that time. Wonder when Tommy will be back? HA. Okay, right…
Kitty/Robert: Kitty and Robert are in Ojai playing scrabble. Shirtless Rob Lowe? I’ll take it. Kitty is beginning Chemo the next day and is drinking wine. Hm, makes sense. She doesn’t want Robert to be her “Chemo buddy” but she hasn’t made her mind as to who it will be yet. Nora assumes she will be going but Kitty has decided on Sarah. Robert is giving a press conference about his decision to stay in the governor race while Kitty has cancer. He is faced with some pretty tough questions from the press as a sad Kevin looks on. While Kitty begins her chemo, she asks Sarah to keep her occupied with stories from France. Kitty and Kevin are talking the night after her chemo in the kitchen and she drinks a beer. I’m confused. She says the blog was right, chemo makes beer taste better. Maybe I’m just ignorant on the topic, but that doesn’t seem right. Robert just wants to be with Kitty and Kitty doesn’t want him to, she wants him to keep running for governor and asks for Kevin’s help in convincing him. Kitty sets up an interview to make a statement about her illness and Robert’s running for governor. Robert does not seem happy about it but we all know Kitty can’t be stopped. They talk about it and he agrees to stay in the race.
Justin/Rebecca: Justin goes to a professor who is doing cancer research and wants to join her team. He has decided to specialize in Oncology. Is this a surprise? Since Nora doesn’t join Kitty, she meets up with Holly and Rebecca on their hunt for the perfect wedding location. The first location appears to being used for a porn. Okay, watching Nora, Holly and Rebecca’s reactions are hilarious. Nora and Holly laughing together is great! Holly is spending most of the time on the phone while Nora and Rebecca study the venues. Justin is studying on his cadaver when his professor asks to see him and he starts to freak out. His lab partner ratted on him that he wasn’t committed. Uh what? Rebecca thinks she’s a defective bride because she doesn’t know how to handle wedding things. Justin meets with his professor who figures out exactly why he chose to go after the internship as it’s very common. Justin decides to not go for the internship to concentrate on succeeding in his current studies. The professor also gives him a compliment on having practical life experience and leading his lab partner to deal with life as well as being brilliant. Doogie needs to have social skills, too! (Doogie’s real name is Carter, but I like calling him Doogie.) Rebecca thinks back to her childhood and remembers playing in her backyard with a stuffed dolphin and tiki torches and always wanting to stay outside and do you see where this is going? Yep, a wedding in Hawaii.
Holly/Saul/Ojai: Holly invites Nora to look at wedding venues. Random nice gesture and I think Holly is trying to grow and get in to the Walker family slowly. Holly is still going after the cheap wine idea, no matter what she has to do and Saul is still against the idea. Holly got enough juice to start developing the cheap wine and she is excited. She is also excited to help lead Rebecca in the direction of figuring out her perfect wedding.
Sarah: She was lost in the fields of France when she came upon a barn … and a super hot French guy inside. She’s speaking horrible French and Mr. French Guy is getting a kick out of it when he busts out in perfectly good English. She was running late for a meeting at a winery but instead spent a week with Mr. French Guy. Nice work ethic, Sarah. Nice. He analyzes her while he paints her and kisses her and touches her and yadda yadda under a tree in a field. You see where this is going. On her last day of her trip, Sarah sees Mr. French Guy kissing another woman. OH NO! It’s actually not Sarah’s story at all, it’s a plot from a movie Nora used to make them watch. Back home, Sarah is looking through papers and she comes upon the painting of her the French guy made. Turns out the story was true but instead of there being another woman, on her last day she found out about Kitty’s cancer. Didn’t see that coming – for real. Thought maybe he was a bad businessman or something. Nice twist there writers! And then – hotness – Mr. French Guy shows up on Sarah’s doorstep. Oh HELLO!
Tommy: He sent flowers and a note.
You know, I love ABC, but this is their third show to have a cancer storyline. Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, and now Brothers and Sisters. And those are the prime time ones I can remember in three seconds. Come on writers, get original.
Next week is more French guy but Nora doesn’t like him. Wonder why?
