So, my friend and I watched tonight’s episode together. It was the first time I’ve ever watched the show with someone else as they aired a new episode, because I need to sit with someone that enjoys it as much as I do, or watch it alone. She enjoyed it just as much as I did, and it was great to laugh with someone, rather than pathetically alone in my basement bedroom. So, let’s get started!
Ted: Ted is the Sexless Innkeeper. He ends up trying a new look by wearing a tweed jacket. He meets a girl who’s actually very impressed that he’s a professor, but ends up just sleeping on his couch. Barney calls him the sexless innkeeper, since this girl used him just so she didn’t have to go home at the end of the night. Barney even had a poem about it. Go check it out on CBS’s page on YouTube. In the end, he ends up finding a girl who truly loved the fact that he was a professor, and thus ended his “sexless innkeeper” title.
Lily and Marshall/Barney and Robin: Lily and Marshall want a couple to spend time with! So badly do they want this! They end up asking Barney and Robin, who say yes…what else would they say? Oh boy, this was a mistake. Forget the fact that Lily and Marshall are a creepy couple to spend time with, but add in the fact that Lily is extremely pretentious and Marshall is oddly obsessed with cheese. Marshall even made a video montage of their evening together. To check it out, go HERE and enjoy!
Barney and Robin break up with Lily and Marshall, who find another couple to spend time with. Barney and Robin get extremely jealous and end up with some big romantic gesture to get them back. I loved this part so much! I don’t want to give the gesture away, so you’ll just have to go watch the show.
My favorite part of the whole episode was the collection of video montages that Marshall made, including him ordering Chinese food, cat sitting, and going to a cat funeral. It was classic Marshall.
I hope you all enjoyed this episode as much as my friend and I did. What did you think about this episode? Put your TwoCents in the comments! I’ll see you all next week.
