This is my first R&R of Gossip Girl, so welcome! I missed a week because I was assigned it after I had already watched and deleted the previous episode so I apologize. For GG, I think it’s easier to take the R&Rs in time line order. Hopefully it works. So, let’s see what our kids are up to this week!

Previously, Dan cooled it off with Georgina, but she is hanging out with (investigating?) Scott in Boston. Scott lies to Rufus about who he is. Dan is hanging out with Hillary Duff, I mean Kate, or, Olivia? Carter is with Serena but Nate’s girlfriend (Bree) has something on him. Okay, now, on to today.

We open to a montage of all of our couples in love. Georgina is obsessed with Dan and Dan is smitten with Olivia. Scott isn’t calling Vanessa back. Nate, Bree, Chuck and Blair go on a double date to Dim Sum. Blair is in super Blair mode. Bree gets all weird when they mention Carter is coming to lunch and she kind of strikes a deal of sorts with Chuck about Carter. Weird combination. Lily is still moaping and not happy about Serena not going to Brown. Lily is not happy about how Rufus parented while she was gone. Um, ok. You up and left your kids and Rufus is the problem? OKAY….

Vanessa sits Georgina down and tells her everything. It’s hard for me to hate Georgina when Michelle Trachtenberg is on Mercy being this cute little nurse in kitty scrubs. But I digress. ANYWAY…Georgina seems upset about the whole Dan hating her thing (I’m not so sure I find it to be true, because, come on now, it’s Georgina, when do we ever believe her??). But in true G form, she tells Vanessa she met Scott, got him drunk and he spilled the beans about who he is. So if V doesn’t want the secret out, she needs to convince Dan to dump Olivia. Got that? Yah, okay. Oh fun, a Stepfather preview.

Vanessa tries to convince Dan that Olivia is “canoodling” with Orlando Bloom in Japan. Nothing she says works. Georgina says to move on to Photoshop. The Bass/van der Woodsen/Humphrey kids get Rufus and Lily together to talk. Blair is jealous of Nate dating someone else despite her being in love with Chuck. Vanessa’s talk with Dan makes Jenny and Eric conclude Vanessa likes Dan. I can see this is going nowhere good fast. Or just nowhere. Rufus and Lily reminisce about old times – nicely – and then fight. Lily says he won’t compromise. Rufus says she won’t talk. Where is her anger coming from? Dan catches Vanessa photoshopping pictures of Olivia and the conversation is painful on Dan’s end and then Vanessa bursts out about how Georgina is blackmailing her. Thankfully, Vanessa tells Dan right away about Scott. Back in Brooklyn, Rufus is pining away over Lily and in Manhattan Lily is doing the same over him. Come on now guys, get it together! Of course, in typical lovey dovey movie-style fashion, he goes to see her and she goes to see him and they miss paths. Rufus calls her and says he’s sick of talking and just wants to leap – and suggests they get married TOMORROW. Oh look, another Stepfather preview. Wonder why? Just kidding…

Little J puts together a crew to put the wedding together. Dan has to play Georgina until after the wedding. Georgina wants to go to the wedding but Dan says no. Georgina is mad Dan didn’t grab her butt. Maybe she really does like him? Chuck gives Carter an ultimatum to either tell Serena everything or take a one way ticket to wherever. Georgina has Scott come in and they prepare to go to the wedding. Ah, I feel the family reunion coming together nicely.

Carter hasn’t showed up to the wedding. Chuck and Bree seem to have this secret sign to each other going on about Carter. Chuck appears to know what happened. Jenny tells Lily she’s glad she’s marrying her dad. Carter shows up to the wedding. Blair tries to convince Chuck that Carter is different. Carter tells Serena what we assume is the truth about ripping off a rich girl to help pay off some debts. Lily can’t go through with the wedding. She can’t write her vows despite agreeing to take the leap. As Lily and Rufus are arguing about getting married, Scott skulks up the stairs. HERE IT COMES …… or not. WAIT! Georgina gladly spills the beans. “It’s your love child. Congratulations. He’s not dead.” WOW. Is that how Georgina will leave the show? If so, that’s classic and awesome Georgina! I just want to know why nearly half the wedding had to go see what was happening to Lily and Rufus.

Dan steps up and tells the truth about who Scott is. Vanessa backs up the story. Will Scott bring them together? Serena sits sulking in her seat and Carter comes to check on her. Really? Will this guy just go away already? He cares about her. AW. Bree goes to Carter with two large men, the brothers of her cousin Beth, the girl he ripped off. AH, it all makes sense now. Lily and Rufus are trying to find Scott and Rufus tells Lily the reason she is scared is because she loves him more than she’s loved the other men she’s married. Rufus finds Scott trying to get on the bus and Lily follows him. She agrees with Rufus that marrying him will open her up to all her fears and she loves him. They have a nice family moment and hug there on the streets of NYC.

Lily and Rufus finally get married – in his Brooklyn loft – and say great vows. The kids all chat up about being related. Scott heads back to Boston but there is an open invitation for him to come back. Chuck checks in on Serena about the Carter situation. Oddly, Chuck defends him for owning up to what he did and showing up to the wedding knowing Bree would be there. You know, the Chuck/Serena relationship really intrigues me and how far it’s come over the years. Nate confronts Bree about her using him and she tells him her family comes first and he tells her to leave. Ouch! Serena checks in on Carter and we see him being carted off in the back of a limo with the Buckley brothers. Dan is upset Georgina got away with everything but Blair assures us she didn’t. Georgina is in a bar and is approached by a cute guy with a nice accent, claiming to be a prince who asks her to join him on his trip back to Belarus where there’s going to be a party in his honor (or something along those lines). Then we see Dorota hiding. OOH, BURN!!!

Next week is all about games. Poker and other sorts. The preview doesn’t look that interesting.

But let’s talk about this week. Will Lily and Rufus last? Is Georgina gone forever? Now that Serena and Nate are both single will they hook up? When will Scott return? Leave your TwoCents below! XOXO.
