Well I’m very bummed. Not only was my favorite team eliminated, but it was for a technicality. Granted, it was a BIG technicality, but I would have liked to see them go out on their own terms, not over something they couldn’t control (grumble, grumble).
The Top 9 Things I Learned from The Amazing Race 15
1. Daniel & Samuel [Brothers] One of their first clues in Cambodia was a picture of Jackie O with the King of said country. They had to figure out who she was and find the hotel suite named after her. Easy, right? Wrong. Only two teams knew who she was (are you kidding me?!?) and Dan and Sam were not one of those two teams. They thought she was “some Queen.”(To see an even better guess, read Mika & Canaan below!) Even though they are a little dense, the brothers arrived in 1st place (sort of… see Zev & Justin below)
2. Herbert & Nathaniel [Harlem Globetrotters] On the Detor, they chose “Wrap” where they were given a scarf and had to find a woman in a crowded marketplace wearing a matching scarf. Luckily for them, they ran into two women from Pennsylvania who were familiar with the city and they “kidnapped” these girls for the rest of the race. The felony paid off, and they arrived in second.
3. Ericka & Brian [Married] Their taxi drover took them to the wrong place with the Jackie O clue… the Kings Palace. Fortunately, they got back on track and got to the Pit Stop, a beautiful Buddhist Shrine, in 3rd.
4. Gary & Matt [Father/Son] One of only two teams that knew who Jackie O was, the father/son team used their ranching skills to spot the matching scarf during the detour )”We can spot distinct animals from far away!”). They also got a taxi driver who said “I like to drive fast!” They got to Phil in 4th.
5. Meghan & Cheyne [Dating] They chose Wrap on the Detour… that’s about the only memorable thing they did the whole episode. They arrived in 5th.
6. Lance & Keri [Engaged] Man, this team bugs me. They were the only team to choose “Cover” in the Detour, and they had to sell motorcycle helmets to a family of four. Then, when they arrived at the Pit Stop in 6th place, Lance did some stupid karate kicks… Lame! Phil even had a “what a knob” look on his face.
7. Mika & Canaan [Newly Dating] Canaan thought Jackie O was Queen Elizabeth, Mika said she was clearly Cambodian so maybe she was the Queen of Cambodia (that’s me shaking my head at ignorance). Also, they fell victim to the whole “Read the Clue” rule of the game. At the Foreign Correspondents Club, they were supposed to “ask for you next assignment.” After about five minutes of Canaan asking for his next “task” he finally took out the clue and re-read it. Duh. They arrived in 7th.
8. Maria & Tiffany [Professional Poker Players] We were oh so close to seeing this team eliminated! Maria had a hard time at the “Go Bananas” Road Block where they had to learn from a Monkey Master how to act like a monkey. They sauntered in to the Pit Stop in 8th.
9. Zev & Justin [Friends] Yay! They got to the Pit Stop ion 1st place!!! Wait… Zev doesn’t have his passport. Phil breaks the news that unless they can find the passport and get back to the mat before the last team arrives, they will be eliminated. So they started re-tracing their steps, but it was no use. All the teams crossed the finish line and they had nothing. Man, I feel so bad for them! I think they really could have won the whole thing. Next week, the teams travel to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates!

NO!!! I’ve been on vacation and haven’t been able to watch but NO!!! 😦 😦 This stinks! I wish TAR was like Big Brother how they usually bring back an eliminated contestant but they’re not. GR! This makes me sad. Now I’m going for the Globetrotters.
Ok I’m responding to my own comment apparently. LOL.
I just got to see this episode and I literally cried watching Zev and Justin get eliminated. And hearing them talk about their friendship, I totally lost it.
I want to hug them both.
And I want to kick Meathead in the face. LOL.
I’m totally with you. I SO wanted them to win!
