Well, when this episode started I had to rethink what day it was. I thought I was watching Desperate Housewives for a minute.
It started out with a pig roast in a nice suburban neighborhood when suddenly we find ourselves looking at a dead body in the BBQ pit. We had all the fixin’s: a gay couple, married couples, teenagers and the creepy lady looking out through her blinds. Like I said…is this Desperate Housewives? Plus we have our usual drama within the Squint squad to look forward too.
Now, let’s get to Booth/Bones and the Squints, shall we? Booth leaves his son, Parker, with Angela while he investigates the death. She does a great face painting job on Parker. Parker tells her that he feels his dad needs a girlfriend…”to sex him up”. He asks Angela if she would be Booths girlfriend. Angela smiles and agrees that she has thought about it, but we know who he really needs to make his girlfriend. Angela then tells Booth of the conversation and he freaks out.
Our Iranian intern, in a bit of anger, reveals that he has been faking his accent. Cam is quite surprised and talks to Sweets about it. She is worried he is crazy …like terrorist crazy.
Then Booth comes to talk to Sweets about Parker. Sweets tells him to show Parker that he is comfortable around women so he will be too.
Then Sweets talks to our intern and tells him it is ok, and to stop faking the accent. He was faking the accent because people expected it from him and he wanted to do his prayers he does throughout the day and wouldn’t be questioned if he had the accent.
It’s funny how nobody wants to talk to Sweets, unless of course, they actually need him. And nobody ever makes an appointment with him, they just barge in, which really tics him off.
Booth wants Bones to come over and spend some time with him and Parker so he will see he leads a well rounded life. Bones agrees, and actually thinks it would be fun. As they are out, Parker starts asking questions of her being dad’s girlfriend. Booth starts to interrupt, but Bones stops him and wants him to trust that she can answer these questions. Bones finds out that the reason Parker wants dad to have a girlfriend is so that he can have a pool. What?! Booth and Bones start to relax and she offers that they come to her building and use the pool there. Everyone is happy.
That’s the quickie on what happened this week , did anyone watch? Tell me your thoughts, or heck, just let me know you’re reading this.
Peace.

I’m reading! I just don’t always have a chance to comment. I often find myself making a note to comment on a post, but then never getting the chance. Oops!
I enjoyed Parker, Bones and Booth at dinner-it was so cute! Parker is adorable. 🙂
Glad to hear someone is reading…thanks! Do you mind me not going over the case and only covering the characters?
Not at all! The characters are so awesome, I think it’s their quirks and interactions with each other that makes the show. 🙂
I agree totally
