I hate to do this, but I’m going to make this review a quick one. I have 2 reasons for doing so. 1. The episode was amazingly funny, but the plot doesn’t take MUCH to describe. 2. This is a REVIEW of the episode, not a run-down of every detail. I don’t want to ruin the episode for any of you that plan on watching it after you read this review, and the details is what made this episode the best. So, I apologize in advance for not having a longer review, but in the end, I think you’ll be grateful for my overall opinion.

This episode starts off with Barney unconsciously falling into routine actions around women. He isn’t paying attention to Robin’s feelings, and is actually climbing out the window half asleep after having sex with her. Robin was extremely upset with this behavior, and turns to Ted and Lily for help/moral support. Ted takes what Robin says and relays the message to Barney, who in turn asks for help. Because of this, he sets up a “Robin 101” class to teach Barney how to treat Robin.

However, Robin doesn’t know about this class, and assumes that Barney is cheating on her since he had started to show signs of being an attentive boyfriend. She then breaks open his briefcase to find a notebook filled with information about her. She and Lily then start to read it, and it’s when they are in the process of doing that, that Marshall asks if that’s “Barney’s Secret Robin Notebook.” There are scenes depicting the classroom environment that Ted has set up for Barney, and the lessons he’s teaching. These lessons include her likes, dislikes, turn-ons, and even a slideshow of pictures of Robin’s different faces, and what they all mean. Robin ends up in the class, catching them in the act.

She is extremely upset, but after talking to Ted, who apologized for acting in such an immature way, she starts to cool down. He also helped her see that Barney has never worked this hard to keep a woman around. She has a heart-to-heart with Barney at the end, where viewers see that they may actually be falling in love with each other. I don’t want to give away any details for this part, but I can tell you that I actually started to cry!

Oh, and during all this, Marshall tried to give away this old barrel that he used to use as a nightstand, by placing it on the sidewalk, which he refers to as the “Bermuda Triangle.” Everything he and Ted had placed there in the past was taken with no trace of evidence. It added some comical nonsense that the show is famous for.

I hope my review gave you a good overview of the episode, and makes you want to go watch it yourself. I hope you do watch it, or did watch it before reading this. I liked this episode because I’m really into the Barney/Robin relationship. What did you think about this episode? Put your TwoCents in the comments! I’ll see you all next week.
