Here is my list of the The Top 10 Things I Learned from Survivor 19, only because 9 of the players did nothing this episode.
Galu (Purple)
Yasmin: So, the rest of Galu really didn’t do much, as the Reward and Immunity Challenges were combined and Galu won, Of course the editors focused on the imploding Foa Foa. In a game twist, a member of Galu (Yasmin) was able to visit Foa Foa and glean information up through Tribal Council. And, boy howdy, did she make some enemies! She came in all Inspirational Speaker talking about how she can help weak little Foa Foa get through these rough times. That did not sit well with a single member of Foa Foa. Then she jumped all over Ben… but I’m getting ahead of myself…
Foa Foa (Yellow)
Mike: He knew he was on the chopping block because the tribe mantra is to weed out the weakest players, so he decided to go all out in one of the most brutal challenges yet. Near the end, he took a rough hit and started walking round all dazed and starry-eyed. Jeff called in Medical and they determined he was just this side of a coronary. Long story short, Mike tried too hard to stay in the game which required him to leave it. The kicker? Foa Foa still has to go to Tribal Council!
Ben: Man. What a jerk. During the Reward/Immunity Challenge, he cheap-shot-ed himself into the illustrious position of the only castaway in the history of the show to get kicked out of a challenge. When Jeff asked him if he had any regrets, he just said “Whatever.” Jeff asked him again at Tribal Council if he had any regrets at all and Ben stated that he wasn’t aware they were playing by Jeff’s “sissy rules.” Um… you don’t talk to Mr. Probst that way, young man! When Yasmin confronted him about his attitude, he turned into this racist ass. I’m telling you… if Russell wasn’t around, Ben would be the villain of the season. Oh, let’s just have two!
Mick: The resident doctor thought Medical made a good call with Mike, but he also knows what a jerky-jerk Ben is. Foa Foa is in quite the pickle. Mick knows that they need to win challenges to get out of this rut so the weaker players should go, but what about the players that are testing the morale of the entire game?
Liz: At Tribal Council, she talked about how Foa Foa was now a big happy family. Are you kidding me? What show is she watching?
Natalie: She didn’t do much this episode except get annoyed with Ben when he chopped firewood through the night. Yeah. He’s classy.
Ashley: She got some votes at the last Tribal Council, so she is starting to wheel-and-deal, throwing the target on anyone but herself. She, too, knows Ben is a liability… but they can’t win Challenges if they vote on personality now.
Jaison: Boy made a deal with the devil! I really like Jaison, but when he said to the camera that he feels like he can really trust Russell, I died a little inside. Please, Jaison, get close to Russell only to be an instrument in his downfall!
Russell H.: Hot off the heels of his statement “I can’t have strong women out here!” Russell did something I am ashamed to admit is pretty cool. Having watched the show, he recognized the tendency of Hidden Immunity Idol being hidden somewhere in camp. That’s a given, but then, in the middle of the fire area, while everyone was watching, he crawled into the hollow of a tree and found the stupid thing! Without a clue, even! But… he’s still the nastiest piece of work ever.
Betsy: I’m sensing a trend: tell Russell you don’t trust him at the beginning of an episode, and at the end your torch is getting snuffed. The tribe went with the player they thought was the “weakest” in favor of the player that might take a machete to them in the middle of the night. Bad choice.
What do YOU think? Russell… are you an actor hired by CBS? Seriously? And how many seasons away are we from someone actually dying on this show? Did the right person leave? Who will be sent packing next? Give us your TwoCents in the comment section below!
