A goat, a cowboy hat, a surprise party, a confession, a new career. Just another episode of HIMYM.

Ted pulls an all-nighter on his birthday to finish the design of the cowboy hat restaurant, refusing to be lured to the roof for a surprise party. As the rest of the gang party it up on the roof, Ted gets and unexpected guest: The Goat. A fight ensues, Ted ends up in the hospital, and the entire episode helps Ted realize that he needs to find a new path and decides to take a job as a professor of architecture (the mother is in that class!).

Meanwhile, Barney finally decides to tell Robin he’s in love with her but she pulls a “Mosby” saying she is in love with him first. Also, Marshall contemplates finally taking the leap from their building to a neighbor’s roof.

1. A tie between the goat-fight montage (the hoof-shaped bruise on Ted’s head was classic) and the love/hate fight Robin and Barney have in the hospital room: “I love you! “Let’s be friends.” “OK – friends then.” “I love you.” “Let’s get married!” “No – you’re smothering me!” “OK! Forget it!” And… kissy-kissy.

2. Even though it was kind of cheesy, when everyone took “the leap” at the end, I was all “Awwww!”
