Well, the season finale is finally here. Manipulation, marriage, and murder are all on the agenda. Let’s see how the lives of our housewives wrap up this season.
Susan cancels the fishing trip with Dave because she’s worried about Jackson. He pushes the issue and she gets angry with him. Finally, she sees how creepy Dave is.
Jackson is in jail and going to be deported. He thinks it was Mike that reported him to immigration. Susan goes to ask Mike about it and Katherine confesses that Mike knows nothing about the fake marriage and that she was the one that sent the text message about the alimony. Susan also finds out that Mike and Katherine are going to get married that weekend in Vegas. She’s is visibly shaken by the news and leaves – she sees Dave and says she would like to go fishing after all (so much for being worried about Dave).
When Tom takes Preston to a college campus for a tour to encourage him to go to college, he decides he wants to go back to school and major in … Chinese!!! Lynette is not happy about this new idea and gets some bad advice from Bree about manipulation, so when the college calls and says the admissions test is the next day; Lynette goes out with Tom and gets him drunk before she lets him hear the message. Oh cram! I’ve got to crap for that test! After the test we find out that he wants to learn Chinese to be more competitive for jobs in marketing since so much business is done with China. (Oops!) Tom does well on the test and he’s going to college. Lynette, however, isn’t feeling so good and she’s worried the cancer is back. The doctor does give her some shocking news. The cancer’s not back – she’s pregnant! Again! With twins! Again!
Bree comes home to find all the stuff she stole back in the house. Orson confronts her and she tells him that she wants a divorce. Orson tells her that if she divorces him he’ll send her to prison for insurance fraud. Later, Orson gets roughed up by a man who tells him that he needs to let go. He assumes the man was hired by Bree, but when she convinces him that she had nothing to do with it, he cheers up and tells her he’ll stay! It was of course, Karl who hired the thug, and when Bree yells at him, they end up making out! (Gross, gross, gross, gross, gross!)
Dave is freaking out and starts having conversations with the dead doctor, his first wife and daughter, and Edie. They convince him that he needs to just go ahead and kill MJ. That waiting to do it at the lake is stupid, and he needs to make Susan suffer. He grabs a gun and goes up to MJ on the street, but that’s when Susan comes out and tells him that she still wants to go fishing. As they’re leaving for the trip, Mike sees the creepy look on Dave’s face and he starts to worry.
Carlos and Gaby agree to take in Carlos’s teenage niece, after being conned by Carlos’s aunt (the always fabulous Liz Torres). Gaby finds out that Anna receives expensive gifts from much older men she “dates.” When Anna gets the Scavo boys to clean the house, Gaby tells her to straighten up or she’s out on the street. Anna cries to Carlos and he yells at Gaby for not treating her better. (This is feeling a little too much like a repeat of the Tom/Lynette/Kayla storyline. I hope the writers have a twist to put on this next season).
After Mrs. McClusky and her sister (yeah for the return of Lily Tomlin!) break into Dave’s house and are picked up by the detectives investigating the doc’s death, the sisters and detectives start piecing together information. They now know Dave’s real back story.
While Katherine and Mike are at the airport, Mike sees Dave’s confession tape. He bolts from the airport (leaving a very bewildered Katherine) and calls Susan. She gets Dave to pull over and there are a couple fights. First she hits him with a rock and then he hits her with the gun. Dave talks to Mike and agrees to meet him at a gas station just down the road from where the accident that killed his wife and daughter took place. His plan is to pull out in front of Mike with MJ in the car. This is exactly what happens, but at the last second Dave has a change of heart when he sees his daughter in the backseat in place of MJ. Dave does pull out in front of Mike, but MJ is not in the car. Mike is fine and the whole family shares a big hug and Susan and Mike kiss.
Two months later, Dave is in a mental institution and Mike is getting married, but we never see who the bride is. Bree is there with Orson, so apparently the divorce is off. Gaby is there with her family, including Anna. We don’t see either Susan or Katherine in the crowd of guests. However, Karl is there and I am questioning why. If Mike is marrying Susan, why would she invite her ex-husband? And if he’s marrying Katherine, why would she invite Karl, a man she doesn’t even know?
OK readers, give me your TwoCents. I’m still not sure how I feel about this episode, it was a little bit of a letdown – and I actually thought the ending was kind of lame. I am glad that Dave didn’t succeed in his plan. I assume that Mike’s marrying Susan, but what do you think? What do you think of Lynette being pregnant again? Too cliché?

Ok, first of all, I really hope that it is Susan on the alter. That kiss was pretty passionate if you ask me.
Dave…. well all I can say is that the look at the very end in prison was pretty damn scarey!
shocker of the night: Lynette is preggers….again!
Why the hell wouldn’t she have had her tubes tied or gotten Tom fixed? Jeez!
