Patient of the week is Scott, a man who has Alien Hand Syndrome caused by a botched surgery for a seizure. Basically, that means his left hand, which is controlled by the right side of the brain, has a mind of its own. It throws rolls at obnoxious diners in restaurants, knocks ultrasound wands out of doctors’ hands, and slaps girlfriend Annie when she brings toiletries to Scott at the hospital. Lefty is a bully.
We can fully tell that House isn’t at the top of his game because Annie figures out what’s wrong with Scott before anyone else can. Apparently, there’s some ingredient in the deodorant Scott uses obsessively that is causing his illness, and it caused the seizure in the first place. Lefty knew it and was trying to keep it away, hence the throwing of the deodorant across the room numerous times.
House wakes up all smiles as he realizes that he’s not only no longer an addict, but he totally did it with Cuddy. He checks himself out in the mirror and wipes off the lipstick Cuddy left behind. She even left the tube on the table. House keeps it as a souvenir and fiddles with it throughout the day.
House and Wilson talk about House and Cuddy. Wilson suggests that House talk to her, but for some reason House just wants to make Cuddy mad at him. House announces to pretty much everyone in the hospital that he and Cuddy slept together. That gets her mad enough to fire him. Then House realizes that everything that happened from the time he asked Cuddy to help him detox the night before was a hallucination. Everything, including the sex was not real. That means that House is still addicted to Vicodin, too. Amber is back and whispering in his ear and she brought Kutner with her. This whole scene was so well-acted by Hugh Laurie. The desperation and heartbreak on his face should win this man an Emmy. Seriously.
Cameron and Chase get married. They made up over the sperm thing when Cameron said she’d destroy it and Chase told her she didn’t have to. Instead of going to the wedding, House and Wilson are driving to a depressing looking psychiatric hospital. House checks himself in and we’re left wondering what in the world is going to happen next season.
They got me good this time. I really thought that House and Cuddy were going to give it a go, but no, they had to get all Dallas-esque on us and BAM, there was Patrick Duffy in the shower. Were you disappointed that the Huddy was fake? What do you think will happen with House in the hospital? Will he get off Vicodin and start going clean? Leave a comment!
