In the season (series?) finale, a plastic surgeon with ties to a former mobster-turned-snitch is found murdered in his car. After some trickery and switcher-roos, Castle and Beckett find the murderer, a hit-woman for the mob who had been posing as the doctor’s nurse. Meanwhile, Castle digs deeper into the files of Beckett’s mother’s death (against Beckett’s direct threats) and finds that the murder wasn’t random at all.
TwoCents TwoFavorite Moments
1. Castle can not stop staring at one suspect, an unhappy former patient with an addiction to plastic surgery. Not because she is beautiful, but because she looks like a freakin’ alien. His reactions, first to her pictures then to her in person, were SO funny.
2. When Castle’s daughter Alexis goes on her first date, Castle embraces the “time-honored tradition” of hazing the poor young man. He talks with the other detectives about what their first meeting of a date’s father was like, he plans and elaborate set-up (including a severed head), and he has the video camera at the ready. Alexis, however, makes him change out of the bloody lab coat, but he still has fun. Classic.
TwoCents TwoFavorite Quotes
1. Beckett, in response to Castle suggesting they tap the mob for information: “What, are we gonna hop a cab and drive down to the Bada Bing?” and “You know a guy? What is this, a Mamet play?”
2. Castle’s mother talking about how all women have body image issues: “Nothing you can say will change how we feel. What men don’t understand is: the right clothes, the right shoes, the right makeup… it hides the flaws we think we have. They make us look beautiful to ourselves… that’s what makes us look beautiful to others.”
What do YOU think? Will Castle be renewed? Do you want it to be renewed? Give us your Two Cents… We’ll throw a finale week party.

So , I’m kinda mad I didn’t record this. I started watching and about 1/2 way thru, fell asleep. bummer!
I hope it is renewed, i really like it, but then again I am a big mystery reader and relate to the theme.
I like that it doesn’t take itself seriously… It admits that crime-show cliches are silly so, yes, the show is gonna be silly, too. I hope it’s renewed as well.
