At the comic book store, Howard is celebrating his “high tech toilet” being launched into space. Comics are on him, fellas! Comic book guy Stuart that went out with Penny once asks Leonard for advice on scoring with her. Penny asks for advice on how to make the shy Stuart more comfortable around her.
Leonard won’t take Stuart’s call because he knows he wants to talk about Penny. This drives Sheldon crazy…well, crazier than he already is.
There’s a problem with Howard’s toilet. Apparently, it’s going to explode at some point and he can’t figure out how to fix it. The waste will hit the turbine and they have to keep the uh…stuff from hitting the fan.
Best line of the night – Sheldon: “There is no law of diminishing comedic returns with space poop.” That’s absolutely true.
Stuart drops by for advice and Leonard tells him to go slow. Really, really slow. Like avoid eye contact slow. So, bad advice. So this is going to backfire on Leonard. I can just see it coming.
The guys try to fix the john but nothing’s working. They test the flushing mechanics by using Howard’s mom’s meatloaf. It hits the ceiling. Keep working guys.
Leonard drops by the next morning to see how Penny’s date with Stuart went. She shuts him down. Leonard goes to the comic book store to talk to Stuart. Stuart says Leonard’s advice was awesome. Apparently, Stuart gave Penny some wine and they made out and Penny said Leonard’s name instead of Stuart’s. Awk. Ward. And it totally didn’t backfire. Sweet.
So the guys think they have something worked out with the toilet, but the astronauts call Houston with, um, a problem. All the residents of the space station are about to head out for some air.
Not as many quote-worthy lines tonight but all in all, a good episode. I’m wondering when in the world Leonard and Penny are just going to freaking date already. Also, Sheldon has a sense of humor. Who knew? What did you think? Did you find Sheldon’s smile at the end of the episode Grinch-like? Leave a comment!

Sheldon with a sense of humor had to be my favorite thing from the episode. Even when I think his annoying habits are being played for laughs far too often, they turn it around and surprised me on this one.
