Bribery, lies, revenge and sex. It’s just another day on Wisteria Lane…

MJ grills Mike about marrying Katherine and Mike tap dances around the question. Turns out, Katherine put MJ up to it, she wants the discussion out there. Later Mike reveals that he’s not ready to get married again and Katherine is obviously hurt, but it looks like she’s going to hang in there (well, it is “Desperate” Housewives).

Bree is starting divorce proceedings, but doesn’t want to give Orson half her business even though it’s state law, so she has to find the sleaziest, most dishonest lawyer possible – enter Susan’s ex, Karl. But, the only way he’ll help her is if she convinces little MJ to invite Karl’s son Evan to his sleepover. Bree bribes MJ with macaroons and MJ agrees to invite Evan (even though he’s a bully who hit MJ with a dead squirrel). Since Evan got to go to the sleepover, Karl agrees to be Bree’s lawyer. He tells her that it’s going to be ugly – with lots of lying and backhanded business. He wants to know if she’s up for it and she tells him she’ll do anything to protect her business.

Lynette and Tom made a pact – sex for 30 nights straight. But her long hours at work are interfering and she actually falls asleep during sex one night. Tom is royally ticked and he tells Lynette that she’s the only thing he’s passionate about. He’s not happy being the househusband, but he doesn’t know what to do with his life. (Ok, is it just me or didn’t we already go through this storyline when Tom quit advertising and opened the pizza place? This is old, and I’m not digging it. Besides, didn’t Tom tell Lynette just a few short months ago that she supported his dream so now it was her turn? That didn’t last very long. Anyone else think that Tom is just plain selfish and needs to get over himself? Or is it just me?)

Gaby’s daughter Juanita’s classmates have been telling her she must be adopted – she’s not pretty enough to be Gaby’s daughter, so Juanita goes to school with a face full of make-up on. Carlos has the idea that Gaby should go to his fancy dinner for Latino Businessman of the Year without any make-up on. Gaby tries, but in usual selfish, vain fashion, ends up stealing another’s woman’s make-up. She tells Juanita that even though she was a model, because people always told her she was pretty, she never worked at being a good person and she wants her daughter to be better than that. There’s a very cute scene at the end with Juanita trying on Gaby’s old gowns.

Dave sets another plan in motion – he offers to take Susan and MJ on a fishing trip. He does a little research before the trip about kids who have died in accidents fishing on the same lake. In the mean time the police show up at Dave’s house. They’ve discovered the identity of the man who burned up in the nightclub fire – Dave’s doctor who Dave of course denies knowing. The police also tell Dave that they are looking for Jackson, who was in the bathroom in the back of the club (where Dave had locked him up).

Jackson is back and he’s got a question for Susan. He wants her to marry him and before he can explain himself, she bursts into tears and reveals how much she loves him and has missed him. Unfortunately, Jackson doesn’t feel the same way – he just wants Susan to marry him because he’s about to be deported back to Canada. After a little heart-to-heart, Susan agrees to help, so they’re getting married. (Any fans out there feeling this storyline? Too me, it’s a little unoriginal, but here’s hoping they give it a twist.)

When Dave goes to Susan’s to give MJ a fishing pole, she tells him that they won’t be able to go fishing this weekend because she’s getting married. That’s when Dave finds out Jackson is back in town. Things are definitely starting to unravel for Dave.

Ok fans, give me your TwoCents on this episode. Maybe I’m just getting impatient for the resolution of the Dave storyline, but these last few episodes have felt a little slow to me. Anyone else feel that way?

ok, firstof all, agree totally with the Tom storyline. He agreed to stay home while she worked, and she hasn’t been working all that long, so he needs to quit whining. Jeez, a woman doesn’t act like that when she decides to stay home. Men!
As for Gabby….Hell-oooo, she is only 8, just say no about the makeup , end of conversation. But I do feel she handled it well.
As for Crazy Dave…. well who knows

Actually, Gaby’s daughter is only 6! (Which at the end of last season which was 6 years ago she wasn’t even pregnant, I haven’t quite figured out how that works, but that’s beside the point). But I agree, tell her no and be done. Too much coddling of kids.

I was thinking the same thing about Tom – totally a man thing!
