It is almost humorous to see Dean sitting and fishing. You had to know it was a dream when you see Castile walk up and hand him a note. But what does it say? We don’t find out. But apparently Dean is freaked out about it as he runs to where he says to go, only it is not Castile, it is Jimmy. Jimmy Novack, the man whose body he took over was a normal man from Pontiac, Illinois. He had a wife, a daughter, faith in God and a normal job until he was “called”. The Winchester boys do their best to protect Jimmy considering his alter ego. Castile had something he wanted to tell Dean, and I have a feeling that the Demons want to know that is. Unfortunately he disappeared before he had the chance to tell him. HMM, do you think that may have something to do with Castile’s disappearance? He has been a very bad boy!

They take Jimmy back to the hotel where he tells them about how he “became” Castile and what his life was before this happened. He wants to go back, but Sam is very against it. Dean thinks he should get his life back.

Dean and Jimmy go to sleep and leave Sam to guard the door. He steps out to down some demon blood, and Jimmy escapes. Needless to say, Dean was pretty pleased the next morning. But Sam insists that Jimmy and his family are in danger if they don’t get to him, so they headed to Pontiac.

Jimmy flashes back to when he realized that he was chosen. He was told to put his hand in boiling water as an act of faith, and he was fine. His wife was very freaked out by this, especially when Jimmy starts talking about angels talking to him. She thinks he needs mental help, but Jimmy believes that he is being asked to do work for God. He gets ready and tells “Castile” to do something, and this is when Jimmy becomes Castile.

We flash back to Jimmy arriving home. His wife is confused at where he had been for a year. They all thought he was dead. Jimmy explains that he went to get help and he is all better now. His wife seems reluctant about his story, but is glad that he has given up on the angel nonsense.

AS the family sits down together to eat again for the first time in a year, Claire, Jimmy’s daughter wants him to say grace. Jimmy cries and insists he will not do that anymore. Just then, an old friend, Roger, shows up. AS Jimmy and Roger talk, we see that he is a demon. Jimmy starts beating and Amelia is upset as Jimmy tells her that Roger is a demon. She thought he was all better, but this proves otherwise. He tries to get them into a pantry and put salt down, but Claire gets out. Roger catches her and puts a knife to her throat. Sam and Dean show up to save them. Roger’s wife Lisa comes in and Dean goes to attack her. The demon leaves her body, and they are now safe (yeah right).

They all leave to go somewhere safe. Sam and Dean finally convince Jimmy that he needs to leave his family to keep them safe. He agrees, so they leave and give Amelia and Claire a car to go home. Of course, it is not really Amelia, as she was possessed. She takes Claire to an abandoned barn and calls Jimmy. They turn around to save Claire. Jimmy is angry at Castile and the mess he got him into. He yells to help him. As Jimmy goes to the barn, he insists that he is alone. Two more demons show up with Sam and Dean as Sam tells Dean that his plan really worked. Amelia tells them that they are all going die, and turns and shoots Jimmy. Sam and Dean fight off the others, Sam decided to take a little taste of Demon blood and sucks the demon out of Amelia. Too bad the evidence is all over his face.

As another Demon goes to kill Claire, she reaches out and zaps him. It is Castile to the rescue! He didn’t let Jimmy down after all. Jimmy calls out to Claire, but Castile said it is Claire’s time to serve. Jimmy begs him to take him instead, and he does. AS Castile walks away in Jimmy’s body, Dean asks him what he was going to tell him. Castile, being very rude, says he learned his lesson and he serves Heaven, not him.

Sam and Dean leave and Bobby calls. They are needed with a demon problem. When they arrive, Sam finds out the hard way that the demon problem that Bobby spoke of was him. LET THE WAR BETWEEN BROTHERS BEGIN!

This episode was everything I love about this show, everything from the writing to the acting was A+++. Misha got to shine, and I thought the girl who played Claire was really good too. I think a lot of people mistake either of them “being” Castiel as not acting, but in truth it takes a lot more talent to show that kind of subtlety and to create two distinct characters and be able to switch from one to the other on a dime.
