According to multiple sources, NBC has renewed three of its shows, one of which for the final time. Drama series Parenthood is a go for season 4, as is Community for a 13-episode season four. 30 Rock has also been renewed for a shortened 13-episode season seven, for which it will be its last.

Check out our updated Canceled/Renewed score card and sound off below about what you think about the renewals and one more season of 30 Rock below.

It’s hard to believe that this was the last episode of the season for Parenthood. Don’t get me wrong, the episode was clearly a season finale, but it’s just hard to stomach that we may or may not ever see the Braverman family again. For the last time this season, I implore you to contact NBC to let them know that we want another season!

Some of the storylines were wrapped up this hour, seemingly in a perfect bow. However, there was also quite a lot of potential drama for season four established as well. So, without further ado, I give you the final recap and review of season three (sniff!)

This is certainly an odd February. It’s near 40 degrees in Chicago at 10PM and Parenthood only has one episode left this season. The two have seemingly little in common, unless you look at the fact that neither is the way it’s supposed to occur. Although I relish the lack of shoveling this winter, I loathe the fact that this quality hour of television only has one hour left.

We probably won’t know for some time if this show will be back for a fourth season. On any other network, its ratings wouldn’t garner a renewal, but NBC isn’t exactly at the top of the ratings game. But don’t take anything for granted, be sure to let NBC know we want our show back! Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, but I will probably remind you next week, let’s get to covering this hour…

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it a million times over, Parenthood does small moments better than any show on television. At the end of the hour, all one actor did was pause and swallow, but it reflected a myriad of emotions before he even uttered a word. And, wow, did it make me reach for the Kleenex.

What I love best about the show is that it brings its characters together organically. Nothing, even the hopefully almost over adoption arc, feels forced. The Braverman family members know who they are, and from Amber’s bad decisions to Drew’s awkwardness to Kristina’s maternal instincts, every action feels true to those character’s motivations. So let’s cover what happened…

It’s hard to believe, but it’s been three weeks since our last episode of Parenthood. And after tonight, there are only three more episodes left in the season. It’s unbelievable that we can get so many episodes of subpar television, but quality programming like this has such a short season. Let’s all keep our fingers, toes, and eyes crossed for a fourth season.

It’s somewhat of a sparse episode tonight. We have all of our siblings, but we don’t see any of Adam’s family, Zeek, or Drew. Once again, we have a quiet hour of understated storytelling that still manages to pack more of a wallop than much of its competition. So let’s get reviewing…

Has there even been an episode where the title was uttered as much as tonight? Both Haddie and Zoe said it verbatim and everyone else implied it. But, if it is what it is, Parenthood is awesome.

It’s hard to believe we only have a handful of episodes left this season. There’s no new episode next week due to the State Of The Union address, but luckily we had this stellar installment to tide us over. Not only did we have our usual players, Camille, Zeek, and Drew were all prominently featured! Were you as happy as I was?

After last week’s exemplary outing, this week we’re back to a little more status quo with our favorite extended family. It’s not that this is lesser episode, it was just more … standard.

We’ve got babies and work place drama dominating the family this week. And for a show with such a wide range of characters, a number of notable absences as well. This week brought us no Jabbar, Jasmine, Drew, Camille, or Zeek, and only fleeting glances of Kristina, Max, and Sydney. Oddly enough, it made the hour feel somewhat shorter by not being stuffed to the family gills.

Belated happy holiday wishes to all of my fellow Parenthood fans. Believe it or not, after tonight, we’ve only got 6 more episodes left in our abbreviated third season. But, if all of them are as stellar as this evening’s installment, then we’re in for an amazing, triple-tissue journey.

This week we get one of the golden-standards for family ensembles with a road trip. I like episodes that take things out of their normal cylinders and shake them up a bit. And although are family dynamics are still in place, we get some very strong arcs for some of our Braverman clan. And there is nary a Zoe-baby reference to be had!

This episode featured one of the biggest fears of being a parent, the lost child. Now throw in some spousal bickering, the aftermath of an inappropriate hook-up, babysitting, and a pregnant coffee girl, and you have the making of a fast-paced hour of Parenthood.

It’s hard to believe that we’re a mere seven episodes and three months away from the end of the season. So unless you have a Nielsen ratings box, be sure to make your voice heard. Contact NBC and make sure they know we want, no we demand, a season four of this quality show. We probably won’t know until May 2012 if there is another season, so make sure your voice is heard.

Tonight’s episode is very aptly named. Everyone’s being honest. Some about fidelity. Some about engagements. Some about financial situations. Some about financial incentives. They may not all want to hear it, but by and large, they are going to hear it.

There’s no turkey or cranberry to be had with this pre-Thanksgiving hour. In fact, there’s nary a mention of the holiday. So why don’t we take it upon ourselves to see what we are thankful for with our favorite television family?
