Olympic Viewing Guide – Friday, August 10

Every day during the London Olympics, TheTwoCents will be posting viewing options of the games, including the main event of the day and an event that might otherwise be off your radar, and also something to watch if you get tired of the five-ring Olympic circus. It may not be your top choices of the day, but it’ll be what we are most looking forward to.

Main Event
Women’s 4×100 and Men’s 4×400 Relays – 8PM ET, NBC

Relays are always exciting and these two will be no exception. The Women’s 4×100 should be a close contest between the US and Jamaica. The Men’s 4×400 is usually a guaranteed medal for the U.S. but not this time. The competition is pretty even. In fact, the U.S. didn’t have a single runner in the 400-meter final.

Other Events
Men’s Basketball, Semi-Final Game – 3:30PM ET, NBC Sports

Lebron, Carmelo, Kobe, and the other dudes with first names will take on Argentina.

What Else Is On?
Ocean’s 11 – 8:30 PM ET, Bravo

Clooney, Roberts, Pitt, and Damon, to say nothing of the supporting cast that includes Don Cheadle and Carl Reiner, all in a remake of the 1960-heist movie. (I’ve seen both; the newer one is better.)
